hang'n out @ campsite E-176.

We arrived at camp around 4 pm and the sun was shining oh so bright. I thought "hey its nice, I want to hike." That is why I am came here of course. To find something. To blaze a new set of tracks on a old trail. I set off, just a quick one before dinner.

I went just south of the site where we camped and reached a marker telling me I was only .9 miles away from Lewis Falls trail. Well... okay thats chicken shit hikes. HA.

I descended down the trail in hopes that the terrain would pass by quickly and the sites would be worth my troubles. Could this waterfall meet the standards of my curious pleasure in finding them?

Then, like clock work. My favorite part of the day happened.

The 5:30p.m delight of wet, steamy, Appalachian rain.

I looked up to the heavens and saw huge clouds swell rapidly.

I knew I was a two way street: go big or go home....

We can all assume how this story ends: It starts to pour and I am in a dress with some hikers on my feet. I brought only a small cross body purse and my Nikon camera. This was only suppose to be a quicky....... HA. I kept venturing deeper into the waterfalls region while the rains started. It was light at first but the small beads turned to globs and I got my free shower. I turned back and went home. I didn't need the see this waterfall that bad.

I finally reached camp after a not so fun hike up hill to find my dad watching kindly from my warm drivers seat. I looked up at him, helpless and laughed. I walked to the car, he threw me a towel and I hauled ass to get in. :)

Get caught in the rain, its a free shower. The cool part is when you learn to be totally uncomfortable and laugh.
