Why Everyone Needs A Solo Road Trip.

You Gain Confidence!

Do you often search for comfort in the recognition of others? Do you strive to impress the people around you? If you’re lacking in this area of self love, it can have serious effects on your outlook of life. Without confidence in yourself you become weak to believe anything that someone says to you. You stop remember what you truly love and desire. Without confidence, you never are able to see the glass being half full.

Solo travel will not only help you gain self confidence in your relationships but it will have you feeling more proud of your abilities. It teaches you the skills that you didn't think you were capable of doing. You will dance to the beat of your own heart song because you have seen the world in a new way. A fresh way. Traveling solo is the opportunity to conquer your fears, heart ache, and lack of self love. This beautiful confidence that you gain teaches things that I can't explain. It is so special and important it is to love yourself everyday because you are uniquely made.

You can Heal!

We all experience pain at some time or another in our lives. We all know the feeling of loss and of love. Walking away from the troubles sometimes is good idea. Escaping the reality of a painful relationship or situation allows your heart the space i needs to mend itself. While being alone on a trip, its just you. You learn to battle the demons you face and conquer them. You feel the mending of your heart from the kindness of other people that you meet along the way. You begin to see the world through a new lens. Pain takes time to go away. I will not say that all pain is able to be depleted by traveling, but it can be a start. Human beings become so involved in the business of dealing with situations by jumping the gun. Sometimes, you need to walk away from it for a while and let the storms die. No matter what race, gender, religion, or culture you come from, the healing powers of experiencing a beautiful and new place are undeniable.

You Become Independent!

While you’re out there conquering the world alone, you have no option but to rely on only yourself While that may not mean you can't push your out of ditch, if the situation calls for it, you will now be more well-equipped to deal with such situations in a calmer manner. When you rely on yourself, there is nothing anyone can do to shake you. Nothing can be taken from you. You don't have to listen to the opinion of others, its just you. You can see what you want, You can follow your gut instincts. You are limitless. You become so comfortable being alone, that you don't need others to make your decisions. Being alone for a week, or even a few days by yourself teaches you to trust in your instincts.

You Appreciate the Little Things!

After you’ve camped in the back of your car and lived off spam and rice for three days because you're bank account only has enough money in it for fuel to get home, you soon learn to appreciate the small things in life. Not having a shower for five days teaches you a lot about having patience. Cellphone reception is a blessing and a curse. Humans are vulnerable creatures. We become so use to having things convenient that we sometimes forget to be thankful for them. Clean water, a roof over your head, fresh food, and human affection. These are the few simple things we humans need, and anything else is just a blessing to be thankful for.
